  3. In the short story “The Utterly Perfect Murder” by Ray Bradbury, there are many things that prove Doug is insane, from him planning to kill his best friend, to yelling “BANG!” instead of shooting Ralph, and then even admitting to being in a poor mental state.

  11. In "The Utterly Perfect Murder," by Ray Bradbury the main character Doug was totally insane because he got up in the middle of the night to murder a person he hasn't seen since he was 12, on the train he made it clear he has different personalities, and he pretended to shot the person he hadn't seen since he was a child.

  41. In the Story "The Utterly Perfect Murder" by Ray Bradbury. I believe he is sane part of the reason I think that is because at the end, He looks at Ralph and sees how much Ralph needed him more than Doug needed Ralph. Making even an ounce of thought during that part of the story theoretically means he is sane. The whole "BANG" thing in my point of view is partially funny and therefore doesn't really give off the vibe as insane and more of a funny vibe.
